North East child death cases excluded from early release scheme

Offenders convicted of manslaughter or causing or allowing the death of a child will be excluded from revised early release rules. Families of Archie York and Maya Chappell have welcomed the change, while the Conservatives say the wider approach could still allow dangerous offenders to be released.
